How to Schedule a Message on VNNOX (Set a Display Time for Your LED Sign)

Want to display a single message at a specific time, or schedule content to play on your LED sign automatically? VNNOX lets you set a validity range so each slide plays only during the dates and times you choose. Follow the steps below to schedule a message on VNNOX.

Step 1 – Switch from Media View to Page View
Open VNNOX solution and switch from Media view to Page view.

Step 2 – Select the Slide
Select the slide — the black box in the middle of the screen. When selected, a silver boundary appears around the black box, showing it has been selected.

Step 3 – Open Page Properties
In the right-hand column, switch to Page Properties. (By default, this section shows Widget Properties.)

Step 4 – Select the Validity Range
Select Validity Range. This opens the section where you set when you want the slide to start displaying on the sign and when you want it to end.

Step 5 – Set the Start Time
Select the start time for the slide.

Step 6 – Set the End Time
Select the end time for the slide.

Repeat these steps for each slide you want to schedule.

Scheduled vs. Always-On Slides
Slides without a validity range will play all the time. Slides with a validity range will only play during the specified time — making it easy to scheule messages, announcements, and time-sensitive content on your LED sign.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What happens if Slide 1 is scheduled but Slides 2–4 are not?
No problem at all. Once the validity range for Slide 1 expires, your LED sign will simply continue playing Slides 2–4 as normal, until you decide to update the schedule again. Only the scheduled slide stops — the rest keep running.
  • What if Slide 1 is the only slide and its scheduled time has passed?
In that case, the sign will go black and nothing will play, because there's no other content left to display. To avoid this, we recommend always keeping at least one slide without a validity range as a fallback, so your LED sign always has something to show.
  • Can a slide be set to appear automatically every year?
Not currently. The validity range in VNNOX is designed for a single, one-time display window. It can't repeat on a weekly, monthly, or annual cycle, so seasonal or recurring messages will need to be re-scheduled each time you'd like them to run.
