Stage 1.1: Lead Conversion & Deal Creation Guide
Objective
All new quote requests must be converted from leads to contacts, and a deal must be created for each. This process ensures accurate tracking and follow-up with potential customers.
Step 1: Verify Lead Conversion (Within 4-12 Hours of Quote Request Submission)
Check if the Lead Has Been Converted to a Contact:
- Enter the customer’s email in the system.
- If the email returns both a Lead and a Contact, the conversion has already been completed.
If the Lead Has Not Been Converted, Verify Account Information:
- Company Name
- Address
- Phone Number
To find missing or updated details:
- Use Google: Search the company name and zip code to locate official information.
- Check the Email Domain: Ensure it matches the company name and is not a generic ISP domain.
- If No Company Name is Provided: Try using the domain, but apply judgment for accuracy.
Step 2: Convert Lead to Contact and Create a Deal
- Update the Profile: Enter the necessary details based on Step 1 research.
Click Convert:
- Check the box to Create a Deal.
- Enter the Deal Amount based on the quote form.
- Set the Stage to Inquiry.
- Select the Pipeline: Sales Process 2-17-2025.
Confirm Conversion:
- Click Convert to finalize.
- This action triggers an automatic email to the customer.
Outcome
- The lead is successfully converted into a contact.
- A deal is created and tracked in the sales process.
- The customer is automatically notified.
