Project: Adjusting Sign Center Alignment; Replacing Brightness Sensor

Objective

  1. Adjust the center alignment of the sign by bringing the two sides closer together.
  2. Replace the brightness sensor and confirm proper software functionality.

Step 1: Adjusting the Center Alignment

  1. Loosen the Sign on the Brackets

    • Loosen the bolts securing the sign on the brackets to create additional space for adjustment.
  2. Remove Modules for Access

    • On both sides of the sign, remove two modules from the top and bottom rows to allow space for hand access to the center bolts.
  3. Pass Through & Secure the Center Bolts

    • Insert the center bolt through the pre-drilled holes on one side.
    • Secure the bolt by fastening the nut on the other side.
    • Use the two pre-drilled holes per row as needed to close the gap and achieve proper alignment.

Step 2: Replacing and Testing the Brightness Sensor

  1. Replace the Sensor

    • Unplug the old sensor.
    • Connect the new sensor securely.
  2. Verify Sensor Connection in Software

    • Log into the software installed on the client PC or phone.
    • Navigate to Terminal Control > Sensor.
    • Check the sensor reading to confirm that it is properly connected.

Final Check

  • Ensure the center alignment is secure and stable.
  • Confirm that the brightness sensor is functioning correctly in the software.
  • Perform a visual inspection to verify all modules are reinstalled properly.
