Video/Receiving Card Replacement: Recreating Your Sign's Backup File After Installing a New Video Card

Recreating Your Sign's Backup File After Installing a New Video Card

If you've installed a new video card and don't have the backup file for your sign, we can help you recreate it. To do this, you'll need to locate two specific numbers from your sign's LED module.

1. Number on the IC (Integrated Circuit):

  • The IC is a small chip located on the back of the LED module. You will need to remove one module from the sign or, if your sign has hinges, open the sign to access the back of the module.
  • The IC number typically looks like MBI51XXX or SM1602XX.
  • [ Location of the IC on the back of the LED module]

2. Number on the Label:

  • This label is also located on the back of the LED module. Carefully note down the number from this label after accessing the back of the module as described above.
  • [Example of the label]

Steps to Access and Find the Numbers:

  1. Access the Back of the Module: Depending on your sign's design, either remove one module from the sign or open the sign if it has hinges. This will allow you to see the back of the LED module.
  2. Locate the IC and Label: Refer to the images provided to find both the IC and the label on the back of the module. Write down the numbers exactly as they appear.

Once you have these numbers, please contact our support team with the information, and we'll assist you in recreating your backup file.
