Troubleshooting Your LED Sign’s Wiring: A Simple Fix

If you’ve recently experienced issues with your LED sign, particularly with its wiring setup, or mismatched displays on your modules, there’s a simple fix that could help resolve the problem. The cables going to the controller card might have been incorrectly connected, causing issues with the display.

Identifying the Issue

The problem arises when the cable connecting the controller card to the bottom row and the second-to-last row is mixed up. This typically happens when the wires aren't connected in the correct order, and as a result, the display might not show content as expected.

The Fix

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Cables: Check the cables connected to the controller card. You will notice two cables that are connected to the bottom row and the second-to-last row of your LED board.
  2. Swap the Cables: The solution is simple—just swap the two cables. Take the cable going to the second-to-last row and connect it to the bottom row, and vice versa.
  3. Test the Display: Once the cables have been swapped, check your display again to ensure everything is functioning properly.
