Applicability
This guide applies specifically to the Slimline Taxi Top Sign model, which uses locking pins to secure the housing. (Earlier versions with screws do not experience this issue.) -
Issue Overview
The external housing of the slimline taxi top sign is shaking excessively. One of the side locking pins appears to be out of place, causing the housing to loosen. -
Solution Steps
- Locate the two locking pins on each side of the sign housing. These pins lock the housing securely to the sign.
- Check each locking pin to identify the one that is not fully extended into its designated hole.
- Firmly push down on the top of the housing. This pressure helps align the misaligned pin with its hole.
- While maintaining pressure, guide the misaligned pin to extend fully into the hole, securing the housing.
- Check the housing’s stability by gently shaking it. The housing should now feel firm and stable.
- Locate the two locking pins on each side of the sign housing. These pins lock the housing securely to the sign.
