How to Quickly Upload Content to Your LED Sign with a Screen Capture
At LED Sign City, we know your time is valuable, so we’ve designed our LED signs to make content creation and uploading as simple as possible. One easy way to get content onto your sign is by using a screen capture. Follow these steps to see how you can take an image from your screen and upload it to your LED sign in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Capture Your Content
If you see something on your screen that you want to display on your sign—for example, an image, part of a presentation, or an advertisement—you can take a quick screen capture.
-
Identify the Content: Find the image or text you want to use on your sign. This could be part of a webpage, a graphic, or a presentation.
-
Take a Screenshot: Use your computer’s screenshot tool:
-
On Windows: Press Shift + Windows Key + S and drag to select the area you want to capture.
-
On Mac: Press Command + Shift + 4 and drag to select the area you want to capture.
-
-
Save the Image: Save the screenshot to a folder on your computer where you can easily locate it later.
Step 2: Open the Sign Software
Our LED signs come with user-friendly software that makes it easy to create, import, and publish content.
-
Launch the Software: Open the software that was provided with your LED sign.
-
Import the Screenshot: Navigate to the file menu and select the option to add or upload a new file. Locate your saved screenshot and upload it into the software.
Step 3: Adjust Your Image
Once the screenshot is imported into the software, you can make any necessary adjustments:
-
Crop or Resize: If the image isn’t perfectly formatted for your sign, don’t worry! Use the cropping or resizing tools in the software to ensure it fits the screen dimensions.
-
Preview the Layout: Confirm that the content looks good in the software’s preview mode.
Step 4: Publish to Your LED Sign
When your content is ready, it’s time to send it to your sign.
-
Connect to Your Sign: Ensure your LED sign is powered on and connected to your computer or network.
-
Publish the Content: Select the publish option in the software and choose the appropriate display playlist or schedule. Click “Publish” to send the content to your sign.
-
Verify the Display: Check your sign to make sure the content appears as expected. Adjust if necessary.
