1. Project Summary

LED Sign City is requesting itemized bids from qualified contractors for the installation of twenty (20) commercial-grade, double-sided LED signs on two (2) separate pylons located on one property in Riverside, CA. Each pylon will house ten (10) double-sided LED signs mounted to an existing monument structure. The signs will be used for dynamic advertisements and directional messaging, enhancing visibility from major freeway intersections.

The sign will be installed at the following location: 

  • CA-60 (Moreno Valley Freeway)
  • I-215 (Escondido Freeway)

Each sign measures 2 feet high x 7 feet wide, and will be mounted onto existing pylons. Contractors must conduct site assessments, manage permitting, and coordinate engineering documents as required. Electrical connection must be completed to pre-installed junction boxes, coordinated with the site’s licensed electrician.

 

2. Contractor Requirements

To qualify, contractors must:

  • Be licensed in the State of California for commercial signage or general contracting work.

  • Have prior experience installing LED signage on existing monuments or pylon structures.

  • Be capable of handling:

    • Site surveys and permitting.

    • Coordination of stamped engineered drawings (if required).

    • Electrical connections to pre-installed junctions.

Contractors without prior LED installation experience may still bid if they demonstrate relevant expertise in commercial signage, fabrication, or electrical infrastructure.

4. Scope of Work

The selected contractor will:

  • Conduct a site survey to evaluate existing pylon structure, access, and electrical setup.

  • Coordinate with structural engineers to assess monument suitability.

  • Obtain all necessary local permits for LED sign mounting and electrical work.

  • Coordinate stamped engineered drawings (if required by the city or county).

  • Mount ten (10) double-sided LED signs using provided hardware on two existing pylons.

  • Perform minor bracket or structural modifications if needed for fitment.

  • Coordinate with on-site electrician to verify and connect to the pre-installed junction boxes.

  • Ensure each sign is operational after installation and electrically secured.

 

5. Scope Limitations

The following items are excluded from this scope:

  • Programming or content display setup for the LED signs.

  • New electrical wiring runs or upgrades to main service panel.

  • Construction of new monument structures or major pylon alterations.

  • Wi-Fi setup or wireless communication installation.

8. Bid Submission Requirements

Bids must include:

  • Site survey.
  • Permit acquisition.
  • Stamped engineered drawings (if applicable).
  • Installation of the new double-sided LED sign on the pole 
  • Final electrical connection to the existing junction box.
  • Any equipment rental, labor, or light fabrication costs.
  • Total project cost for the location, inclusive of labor, materials, and applicable fees.
  • Estimated timeline for project start and completion.
  • Confirmation of compliance with state and local licensing requirements.
