Viplex Express: Instructions for Downloading ViPlex Express and Uploading Content to Your Sign
This guide will walk you through downloading ViPlex Express, connecting to your sign, and uploading content. Make sure to download the software before connecting to your sign’s Wi-Fi network, as there will be no internet access once connected.

Step 1: Download and Install ViPlex Express

Visit the LED Sign City Website:
- Go to ledsigncity.com.
- Click on the Support Desk in the top-right corner.

Select "Getting Started":
- From the Support Desk page, select Getting Started.

Go to Software Setup:
- In the Getting Started section, select Software Setup.

Choose Outdoor/Indoor LED Sign Setup:
- From the options, select Outdoor/Indoor LED Sign.

Select PC Setup:
- Next, select PC Setup.

Download ViPlex Express:
- Click the Download ViPlex Express link to download the installer.

Install ViPlex Express:
- Run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
- Open ViPlex Express after installation.
Step 2: Connect to the Sign City Network
Once ViPlex Express is installed, connect to your sign’s Wi-Fi network:

Open Wi-Fi settings:
- Click the network icon in your taskbar to view available Wi-Fi networks.

Connect to the Sign City network:
- Look for and connect to the network labeled Sign City (or your sign’s designated network name).
- Note: It’s normal for the connection to display No Internet—this is expected.
Step 3: Set Up ViPlex Express to Connect to Your Sign

Open ViPlex Express:
- After connecting to the Sign City network, open the ViPlex Express software.

Search for Your Sign:
- Click the Refresh button in the top-right corner of ViPlex Express.
- The sign should appear in the list of devices if connected properly to the network.
Step 4: Manually Set the IP Address (If Needed)
If the sign is not visible in ViPlex Express, you may need to manually set the IP address. Follow these steps:

Open Network Settings:
- Go to the Control Panel on your computer and click Network and Internet.

Access Network and Sharing Center:
- In Network and Internet, select Network and Sharing Center.
- Click on the Sign City Wi-Fi connection, then click Properties.

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4):
- Scroll down the list in Properties and double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Set the IP Address:
- Choose Use the following IP address.
- Enter the IP address provided to you.
- Set the Subnet Mask to
255.255.255.0
.

Save the Settings:
- Click OK to save the settings and exit the windows.

Refresh ViPlex Express:
- Return to ViPlex Express and click Refresh to see if your sign appears in the device list.
Step 5: Upload Content to Your Sign

Create a New Solution:
- In ViPlex Express, go to the Solutions tab and click New Solution.
- Enter the screen size of your sign (in pixels). For example, for a 3x3 sign, enter
144x144
.

Add Your Content:
- Click File at the top to import your media (images, videos, etc.).
- Use the Auto-Fit option to ensure the content fills the screen.

Publish Your Content:
- Once your solution is ready, click the Publish button to upload your content to the sign.
- If your sign is still not listed, check the connection or manually set the IP address.
