TB2 Controller Replacement Instructions
Brief Description:
This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to safely remove and replace the TB2 controller board inside your LED Sign City sign. This is typically done when troubleshooting hardware issues or upgrading the system. The process takes about 15–20 minutes with basic tools.
Tools Needed:

3mm Allen wrench
-
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Step 1: Remove the Front Module

Use a 3mm Allen wrench to unlock and remove the module on the front of the sign.

There are two locking points:

One at the top
-
One at the bottom
-

Insert the Allen wrench into each lock and turn counterclockwise to release.
Step 2: Disconnect Cables from the TB2 Controller
With the module removed, you’ll see the TB2 controller. Disconnect the following cables:

Power Cable – Located in the top right corner of the TB2 board.

Wi-Fi Antenna – Located in the top left corner.

Ethernet Cable (Wi-Fi/Communication) – Just below the antenna.

Ethernet Cable (Video Signal) – Located in the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Remove the TB2 Controller

Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the TB2 controller to the housing.

Gently lift the TB2 board from the housing.

Detach the sensor from the back of the board.

Note which port it came from so you can reconnect it the same way.

Step 4: Install the New TB2 Controller

Reconnect the sensor to the same port on the new TB2 board.

Place the new controller into the housing.

Secure it using the four Phillips screws.
Step 5: Reconnect All Cables

Ethernet Cable (Video Signal) – Bottom right.

Ethernet Cable (Wi-Fi/Communication) – Below the antenna.

Wi-Fi Antenna – Top left (screw it in securely).
-
Power Cable – Top right.
