How to Switch XMPlayer to ASYNCH Mode

Switching XMPlayer to ASYNCH mode allows content edited on your computer to be sent to the display before it plays, providing greater control over content updates. This guide will walk you through enabling ASYNCH mode in XMPlayer.

1. Quick Steps: Selecting ASYNCH Mode on Launch

When you launch XM Player, you may see a prompt to select the play mode. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Launch XM Player.

Step 2: Select ASYNCH Version when prompted.

This option allows you to edit content on your computer and send it to the display before playing.

Step 3: Check the box for Remember to select if you want to use this mode each time without being prompted.

Note: If you do not see this prompt, you may need to update your settings within the System Settings tab, as outlined below.

2. Changing to ASYNCH Mode from System Settings

If XMPlayer is already running in a different mode, you can change it to ASYNCH mode via System Settings. Here’s how:

Step 1: Launch XM Player.

Step 2: Go to the Setup menu and select System Settings.

 

Step 3: In the System Settings window, navigate to the Software Settings tab.

 

Step 4: Under After the restart to run the software, select ASYNCH Version.

This mode ensures content is edited on your computer and then sent to the display for playback.

Step 5: Click OK to save your settings and close the window.
