How to Set a Static IP Address for Your LED Sign
When connecting your LED sign for reliable network communication, setting a static IP address ensures your device maintains the same IP every time. Follow these steps to configure your static IP for the Sign City network.

Step 1: Connect to the Access Point (Sign City Network)
- Open your Wi-Fi settings on your computer by clicking the network icon in the taskbar.
- Look for the network labeled Sign City and connect to it.
- Note: It’s normal for the status to say No Internet once connected to the Sign City network.
Step 2: Set the IP Address Manually
- Open the Start Menu, type Control Panel, and select Control Panel from the results.
- Inside Control Panel, click on Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center.
- See Wi-Fi (Signcity) in the active network. Click on change adapter settings.
- In the Ethernet window, right click Properties.
- Scroll down and double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then properties.
- Choose Use the following IP address and enter the details:
- IP Address: 192.168.1.126
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Click OK and close all windows to apply the settings.
Step 3: Confirm the Connection to the Sign via Ping
- Open the Start Menu, type CMD, and select Command Prompt.
- In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
ping 192.168.1.128
- If the connection is successful, you will see replies similar to:
Reply from 192.168.1.128: bytes=32 time=XXms TTL=64
