How to Connect the Power Cable for Your Elite Series Taxi Top LED Display

In this video, I'll show you how to connect the power cable for your Elite Series Taxi Top LED Display.

Written Steps

1. Position the Display:
   Carefully lay the display on its side to make the connections easily accessible.

2. Locate the Cable and Port:
   Get your power cable and identify the two white dots—one on the cable and one on the port.

3. Connect the Cable to the Display:
   Align the two white dots, push the cable into the port, and then screw the cap clockwise to secure it in place.

4. Connect the Cable to the Power Source:

   • At the other end of the cable, you'll see three wires:
     • Yellow wire: Positive (+)
     • Black wire: Negative (-)
     • White wire: Accessory (used to turn the sign on and off)
   • Connect the negative (black) wire first, followed by the positive (yellow) wire.

5. Simulating a Vehicle Connection:
   To simulate connecting to a vehicle, I’ll also use a cigarette lighter adapter. This additional black and red wire setup is specific to my demonstration and may not apply to your installation.

6. Turn on the Sign:

   • Connect the cigarette lighter adapter to power.
   • Press the on/off button on the adapter to power the sign.
