Elite Series Taxi Top LED Sign – Module Replacement Instructions

Tools Needed:

Flathead screwdriver
Hex key
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Packing knife or similar blade

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Locking Mechanism

Inspect both sides of the taxi top. Locate the silicone seal covering the lock points.
Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the silicone to reveal the locking mechanism underneath.

2. Release the Locking Pin

Inside the revealed hole, you'll see a metal pin holding the housing to the frame.
Insert a hex key into the hole and push it in firmly until you hear a click—this means the pin is disengaged.
Repeat this process on the other side of the sign to fully unlock the housing.

3. Remove the Housing

With both locking pins released, lift the housing off the sign to expose the LED module.

4. Remove the LED Module

Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws located along the top and bottom of the module.
Gently pull the module forward—note that adhesive may still be securing it.
Use a packing knife to cut through the adhesive around the edges without damaging the frame or module.
Once loose, lift the module out of the housing.

5. Install the New Module

Position the new module carefully into the frame.
Press around the edges to ensure it adheres to the leftover adhesive.
Secure the module by reinstalling the screws along the top and bottom.

6. Reattach the Housing

Slide the housing back over the sign.
Push down firmly until you hear the locking pins click back into place, securing the housing to the frame.
