WiFi Connection Setup

Before proceeding with the setup, please note:

  • Default WiFi Password: Unless changed, the default WiFi password for connecting to the controller's network is 12345678.
  • Network Name: The WiFi network name (SSID) will start with the name of the series, for example, Y50 for Y50 series controllers.
  1. Turn on WiFi on the controller and start scanning for WiFi hotspots.
  2. Select your WiFi network from the list of available hotspots.
  3. Enter your WiFi password when prompted, then click save.
  4. Wait for about 3 minutes for the controller to connect online. You can monitor the “Internet” light; if it's flashing regularly, it means the connection was successful.
  5. Verify the connection by checking the controller's status on the AIPS platform.

Troubleshooting WiFi Connection:

  • If the WiFi network cannot be scanned, try toggling the Software or WiFi Switch on/off.
  • Ensure the WiFi antenna is correctly plugged in.
  • Verify the WiFi password is correct.
  • Check if the Wireless router has too many devices connected.
  • For E series controllers, ensure the WiFi mode is switched on.
  • Attempt to connect to another WiFi hotspot.
  • For Y/M series controllers, make sure the LAN cable is removed if opting for a WiFi connection.

4G Connection Setup

  1. Enable the 4G/5G option on the controller.
  2. Click the “Check” button which will automatically match the country code MMC and choose the operator name to configure the APN. If your country code isn't found, select the custom option to enter it manually.
  3. Save the 3G/4G parameters and wait for about 5 minutes.
  4. Verify the connection on the AIPS platform. A fast flashing “Internet” light indicates dialing up, and regular flashing means a successful online connection.

Troubleshooting 4G Connection:

  • Ensure the 3G/4G antenna is correctly plugged in.
  • For Y/M series controllers, make sure the LAN cable is removed.
  • Verify the APN settings are correct.
  • Check if the SIM card is activated, has sufficient balance, and 3G/4G data service is available.
  • Ensure the 3G/4G signal strength is at least 13. You can check this under Network status detection.

These steps should help in setting up and troubleshooting WiFi and 4G connections for your controller.
